Why is it that we have to think through the same situation, options, and thoughts? Why is it that we struggle to make decisions for ourselves? And why is it that we hold this great resistance against our very souls’ calling?
These are the questions of life that need to be answered ASAP. Why can’t we trust ourselves? Through and through. Through any situation and circumstance. Why can’t we just let spirit lead and follow, accepting all the consequences of our decisions with grace?
Lead strongly with your mind and heart, and let the decisions, questions, and answers flow through you. Like all spiritual practices, it takes time, patience, and compassion.
It’s almost like we go through this visceral reaction to immediately stop where our attention flows. We see the light, we hear the light, yet we deny it.

Crazy, ain’t it?
Let’s flow through the motions by pausing, opening, and deciding with clarity.
Ok, here’s how:
1. Drop everything your mind and body have been carrying before the moment you have to take the leap to ask a question or make a decision.
- For example, as a coach, your client gave you the whole spiel on what is going on in their life, and now it’s your turn to respond. The first mistake people make is to try to hurry and fill in the pause with the first question that comes to mind, but that’s not how you do things. First, you need to pause and consciously release the tension in your mind and body (almost like you drop immediately into a meditative state). It is essential you get used to this pause.
2. Visualize there is a white glow stick from the top of your head to the soles of your feet and expand it.
- This process of visualization allows you to open your mind and create a blank canvas for the stream of knowledge to paint.
3. Get curious.
- There is a 50/50 way of doing this step depending on your circumstances and abilities. The first way is to toss and weigh options like you’re sticking spaghetti on the wall. If it doesn’t stick to the canvas, let it go. But if it does, follow the next step. The second way is to stay in that open space and let the flow of intuition come to your mind. Usually, you should trust the first thing that pops up in this space and move to the next step. This is different from immediately trying to fill in space with the first thing that comes to mind because you’re not in the right state to make a decision. It is important you follow the first 2 steps first, then see which option in step 3 resonates.
4. Go for it. Say what is stuck in your mind with no attachments to the outcome.
- What stuck to your mind may be a thought, question, word, or picture. Express this simply. If you’re a coach, sometimes we like to tag a question with a whole bunch of words to justify or explain our train of thought, and this can be a sign that you are not trusting yourself. Say things plainly and simply. Once you reflect on what was given to you, see if it stuck on the other person’s canvas as well. Or if this is a decision about life, see if it expresses itself in the real world in a positive way.
5. Observe and move on.
- This is the simplest of the steps. Once you release the information from your brain and body, let it go. Smile and move on. This is the true essence of trusting yourself and the process. Whether your decision was right on the money or not, you must let it go and move on. It will pay back tenfold, but only through practice and dedication.
Time and dedication to the practice of trusting yourself and the process are essential lessons that you will have to learn on your journey to peace and flow. I would love to share more, but I am curious about what you guys wanna hear. Any questions? Please comment if you have been trusting yourself and the process lately. Comment if you have a deep desire to learn more in this realm. And follow if you like what I have to say. Till next time!
Peace, love, and light,
