This immersive, hands-on workshop introduces participants to foundational herbal remedies that support the body’s major systems. We will explore how medicinal plants interact with systems such as digestion, immunity, respiration, and the nervous system, and focus on gentle, accessible herbs traditionally used to promote balance and resilience.
You will engage in sensory-based learning by touching, smelling, and tasting a curated selection of herbs while learning their basic functions, common uses, and cultural significance. Rather than overwhelming information, this workshop uncovers the first layer of plant medicine by building understanding, confidence, and curiosity herb by herb.
This experience culminates in a guided blending practice, where each member creates a custom, hand-made herbal tea blend aligned with a body system they wish to support. You will leave with your personalized remedy, foundational knowledge of herbal wellness, and practical insight into how plants can be thoughtfully integrated into everyday care.

This workshop is ideal for beginners, wellness-curious individuals, and anyone seeking a grounded introduction to herbal support through education, sensory connection, and experiential learning. The structure and flow of the workshop, including guided reflection, system-by-system learning, and hands-on remedy creation, are outlined in the workshop materials provided to the email upon sign-up.
To sign up, complete the registration form and fee below. You will receive a waiver and workshop packet by email, which includes information covered in the workshop as well as event details such as parking and pre-workshop materials. A Poem by Cassie Hughes:
The Herb Garden
Through fragrant paths of soothing hues
Her footsteps wander, mind at peace
For in this garden lies her muse
Creations sprout and then take root
In thyme she finds a well loved friend
A strong and aromatic base
Which loves to harmonize and blends
So well with Rosemary and Sage
French Tarragon so versatile
Is next upon her winding route
Residing next to chamomile
Their complimenting flavours shout
A corner turned and there mint breeds
In all its flavours, types and forms
So vigorous it grows like weeds
Yet loved for flavours mixed and warm
She pauses now before her goal
Where basil cuddles marjoram
The herbs she uses most of all
Recalling long lost childhood home.
