Wellness Life Coaching

Wellness is a dynamic state of being across multiple areas of life that determines whether you are living to your fullest potential or moving toward illness and imbalance. Wellness exists on a spectrum and is a proactive process of making choices that contribute to your overall happiness.

Your well-being is deeply personal, consisting of the areas of life that are most crucial to you. However, how we define “wellness” varies across the globe. Western society often uses a generalized framework to categorize and measure a population’s well-being. One prominent model views wellness through eight dimensions: intellectual, physical, social, financial, environmental, occupational, emotional, and spiritual.

While the West also relies heavily on biomedical metrics (like clinical data), Eastern traditions prioritize a different kind of harmony. They measure wellness based on energy flow, food and herbal intake, body movement, seasonality, internal organ balance, and social connectedness. Over time, these global perspectives have merged, with both cultures benefiting from each other’s research, beliefs, and holistic practices. Here at Radical Roots Wellness, we practice a both-and approach to ensure we cover all bases relevant to our clients.

When you work with us, the important aspects of your life are put first in our sessions. Whether that is working on your purpose/business, lifestyle challenges, your confidence, or your connection with nature, we work on any and all levels of your well-being.

We work on seeing the larger picture of your health and wellness and focus on the growth areas. We examine what in your life is contributing or connected to this area and begin to tease it apart. Once we get to the root of the issue or pattern, we begin developing strategies and practices that contribute to your overall well-being and ultimately improve the issue. Some clients benefit from added structure or accountability in their wellness journey, while others need curiosity and exploration. Regardless of where you’re coming from or what you’re working on, we put your individual needs first and focus on how we can integrate these new tools in a way that fits you and the meaning and purpose you gain from life.

Our Session Flow

Sessions follow a similar structure but can vary based on client preferences. In the beginning, we follow up on what is working and isn’t working since we last met or since you started noticing the issue/pattern.

Then, we define what part of your challenge is most important to focus on during our session. We begin exploring this growth area through reflective questions and observations. Through discovery, we develop insights and action steps to move forward in this area. We determine what supports are necessary for you to move forward post-session and how that would look.

We end sessions with a last reflection and an optional check-in in between sessions. Communication between sessions, like updates on progress or challenges, or just quick reflections, is encouraged. We hope you step away from this space feeling comfortable, confident, and motivated.

Session logistics:

  • Sessions are held over Zoom
  • Sessions are one hour
  • Frequency of sessions is based on personal preference
  • Sessions cost $200; this can be adjusted based on financial need
  • Our package deal: buy 2 sessions and get the third session half off (total is $500 for three sessions, coupon code applied at booking)
  • Payment is due at booking

Meet Your Wellness Coach!

My name is Jada McCray (she/her).

I am a certified life coach with a degree in Health Education and training in ecotherapy. My work blends the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual into one rooted practice, guided by cultural care and the living presence of nature. I create spaces where the body can breathe, the heart can soften, the mind can clear, and the spirit can rise, allowing transformation to take root in ways that feel both natural and lasting.

Outside my professional work, I love tending my plants and garden, moving with the seasons, and listening closely to what the land is teaching. I weave movement into my daily life through boxing, dancing, and mindful walks. Reading, writing, and crocheting are some ways I calm my mind. These practices keep me centered, fueled, and open to showing up as my best self.

I am glad to be your coach and support you in your wellness journey. Bring all of you because this is your time to focus on yourself.

Wellness Life Coaching is for individuals who want to improve their overall well-being and feel more aligned in their life. Many clients come to coaching when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, in transition, burned out, or unsure about their next steps. Others come because they want accountability, structure, or support while working toward personal, professional, or wellness goals. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting, you just need a willingness to reflect, grow, and show up for yourself.

No. Some clients come with a very specific challenge, like managing PMDD, while others just know that something in their life feels off, unbalanced, or ready to change. Coaching can help you identify what is working, what is not working, and what areas of your life may need more attention.

That is completely okay and actually very common. Part of the coaching process is helping you figure that out. We can start by looking at different areas of your life and identifying where you feel most fulfilled and where you feel most challenged. From there, we begin to explore patterns, goals, and areas for growth.

My coaching philosophy is centered around the idea that holistic wellness is deeply personal and connected to many areas of life. I believe that when we improve one area of our lives, it creates positive ripple effects in other areas as well. My approach focuses on looking at the bigger picture of your life, understanding patterns and root causes, and then developing strategies, practices, or routines that support your overall well-being. Sessions are reflective, conversational, and growth-oriented, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable and realistic for you.

It is a mix of both, depending on what you need. Often, I will ask reflective questions and help you explore your thoughts so you can come to your own conclusions and decisions. Other times, I may offer suggestions, strategies, or tools that could help you move forward. The goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you build awareness, confidence, and the ability to make decisions that align with your life and well-being.

This coaching focuses heavily on overall wellness and how different areas of life connect and influence each other. Instead of only focusing on goals or productivity, we look at patterns, lifestyle, habits, mindset, environment, and personal values. We also consider how your work, relationships, health, confidence, purpose, and connection to nature or community all contribute to your well-being. The goal is not just to solve one problem, but to help you build a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and sustainable.

Many clients leave sessions feeling clearer, calmer, more confident, and more motivated to move forward. Over time, clients often start making more aligned decisions, building better routines, improving their work-life balance, feeling more confident in themselves, and understanding their patterns and habits more clearly. Coaching is a process, and the results often build over time as small changes and insights begin to add up.

This varies from person to person. Some clients come for a few sessions to work through a specific challenge, while others continue longer for ongoing support, accountability, and personal growth.

Some clients leave the first session with new clarity or a new perspective, while bigger changes usually happen over multiple sessions as we work through patterns, build new habits, and implement changes in your life. Coaching is not about quick fixes, but about creating realistic and lasting change over time.

This depends on your goals and what kind of support you are looking for. Many clients book sessions every 2–3 weeks so they have time to reflect, take action, and come back with updates. Others prefer monthly sessions, while some book sessions more frequently during times of transition or stress. We can decide together what schedule works best for you.

Yes. Clients are welcome to send updates, reflections, or challenges between sessions. This helps maintain momentum and allows you to share progress or thoughts while they are fresh. Communication between sessions is encouraged, but coaching and deep discussions will take place during scheduled sessions.

Coaching sessions are a reserved time set aside specifically for you. Because of this, we have the following cancellation and rescheduling policy:

  • Sessions can be rescheduled or canceled at no charge with 24+ hours’ notice.
  • With less than 24 hours’ notice, payment will be retained and credited toward a rescheduled session if that session is attended within 14 days. Otherwise, the payment is forfeited.
  • No-shows are non-refundable.
  • In extreme circumstances beyond the client’s control, the coach may choose to waive these policies.
  • If the coach needs to cancel a session, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
  • Financial-assistance sessions follow the same cancellation timelines as standard sessions.
